Neighbors in the south section of town receive drinking water from the City of Fort Lauderdale and in the north section of town, neighbors receive drinking water from the City of Pompano Beach.

Wastewater Providers
All areas north of Pine Ave are serviced by the City of Pompano Beach for wastewater. The Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea maintains the collection system in the south half of town, however Pompano maintains our lift stations and then transports the wastewater via their force main to the County for treatment.

In addition, our town is one of 28 members of the Solid Waste Authority of Broward County (SWA). The SWA is working to improve how waste and recycling are processed once they leave the curb. Their goal is to increase the recycling rate in Broward County from 39% to 75% and reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Right now, 32% of items that end up in a landfill in Broward County can be recycled.
