Building Permit and Inspection Services for the Town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea are provided by CAP Government, Inc. CAP Government has staff available in Town Hall with office hours Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may contact staff at (954) 640-4215 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or need assistance.
Lauderdale by the Sea and CAP Government (CAP) receives, reviews, and approves building permit applications and building plans in an electronic format via online portals. Instructions and links to the online portals are provided on this webpage.
Paper applications and building plans will not be needed for your permit if you submit them online. In addition, you will not need to visit Town Hall or stand in line to submit your application, make payments, or receive approvals. All applications and documents can be submitted online from your home or office. You will receive application and plan review comments and approvals with email notifications, information posted on the Town’s website and your electronic plan review (EPR) “Dashboard”. Inspection requests can be scheduled and viewed online, or requested via email at email@example.com. Please note there is a 3 p.m. cutoff for next-day inspections. Payments can be made over the phone with a debit card, credit, or in person with a check or credit card. You may also upload a credit card authorization form in advance for online permit submittals.

Permit applications that are submitted online saves time and paper and streamlines the process. If you are unable to submit your application and plans online, we will accept your paper applications and plans at Town Hall.
