The Town's Town Manager is Ken Rubach. He began his municipal government career in Illinois and has two decades of experience working in the public sector. Ken was an Administrative Analyst (Oak Forest, IL), Assistant to the Public Works Director, and Public Works Supervisor (Village of Bensenville, IL).
Just prior to coming to the Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea in December 2018, Ken was the Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Wood Dale, IL. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Illinois State University.
Ken served as the Town's Director of Public Works from December 2018 through May 2022, at which time he was promoted to Deputy Town Manager and served in that role until July 2025 he was appointed to the Town Manager position.
