Our Goals

The mission of the Parking Services Department is to provide safe, clean and well-managed public parking facilities. We pride ourselves in maintaining parking meters and pay stations in good working order and equitably enforcing the Town’s parking regulations to ensure that you can relax while in Town. Our Parking Ambassadors are professionals and capable of assisting you with any parking-related matter.

Our Pay-By-Plate parking system has 772 parking spaces at 28 separate locations. Three options are available to pay the meter:

  • Cash and credit card at pay stations
  • Coins at parking meters
  • Pay-By-Phone App on your iOS or Android phone

We offer a variety of parking permit programs such as discounted parking to residents through the resident parking permit system, employee permits to Town businesses, hardship permits to certain businesses, and parking sponsorships for the adoption of parking spaces.

Resident Parking Permit Info Under Covid-19

Due to Covid-19, the Town Hall offices are currently not open to the public. The Town has several ways you can apply and/or renew your Resident Parking Pass for Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021. You may complete the fillable form below online, attach the necessary documents and email them to kareng@lbts-fl.gov.
You can also mail in the completed form (please include your signature) along with the required documents. Permits will be mailed to you, or arrangements can be made for pick-up at Town Hall.  

 You must provide:

  1. Valid Drivers License
  2. Valid Registration for each vehicle
  3. Proof of Residency (from the Broward County Property Appraiser website), or a copy of an annual lease.

Parking Permit Fees

Effective July 1, Residential Parking Permit fees are reduced by 40 percent until Sept. 30th. Residents purchasing a Senior Residents Permit must be 65 or older.

Once Town Staff has received and reviewed your resident parking permit application and required documents, you will be contacted by Town Staff regarding payment and pick-up of your permit.

For the A1A Lot, you will need a Drivers License and Vehicle Registration.

Overnight parking allowed. You do not need to be a Town resident.

For the Bougainvilla Lot permit, you must be a Town resident.

Handicap Parking

Drivers with valid Handicap Parking stickers can park for free in any metered parking spot in Town for up to 4 hours. You can only park in metered spaces, not spaces marked Resident Permit Only or spaces with any other restrictions.

Help Available

If you need assistance regarding a parking issue, citation or regulations, feel free to contact the Parking Supervisor at 954-640-4231 or the Parking Ambassador at 954-553-2764. The department is open 7 days a week. You can visit us at Town Hall, 4501 N. Ocean Drive, during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.), where a team member will gladly assist you.

Parking Against Traffic Prohibited

Florida law requires drivers to park in the direction of traffic flow, which prohibits you from backing into angled parking spaces. If you back your vehicle into an angled parking spot anywhere in the Town, you will be cited for illegal parking.

Park Within the White Lines

The lines for all parking spaces are painted white. You will be cited if your vehicle is not within the lines of the parking space.
