Parking services
Our Goals
The mission of the Parking Services Department is to provide safe, clean, and well-managed public parking facilities. We pride ourselves in maintaining parking meters and pay stations in good working order and equitably enforcing the Town’s parking regulations to ensure that you can relax while in Town. Our Parking Ambassadors are professionals and capable of assisting you with any parking-related matter.
Residential Parking Permits
Applications for resident parking permits for the 2024 Fiscal Year (October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024) are now available and cost $64.20 for residents under age 65, and $53.50 for residents ages 65+. Applicants must provide proof of residency, their driver’s license, and vehicle registration with their application and fee.
If you rent, you need to bring your annual apartment, home, or condo rental agreement. If you own property, the Town will verify your residence online at the Broward Property Appraiser’s website.

Park Smart
Parking Against Traffic Prohibited
Florida law requires drivers to park in the direction of traffic flow, which prohibits you from backing into angled parking spaces. If you back your vehicle into an angled parking spot anywhere in the Town, you will be cited for illegal parking.
Park Within the White Lines
The lines for all parking spaces are painted white. You will be cited if your vehicle is not within the lines of the parking space.
Handicap Parking
Drivers with valid Handicap Parking stickers can park for free in any metered parking spot in Town for up to 4 hours. You can only park in metered spaces, not spaces marked Resident Permit Only or spaces with any other restrictions.
Parking Payment Options
While in Town, use our convenient Pay-By-Plate parking system to easily pay for parking using your license plate or space number (if parked in the South Ocean Lot or along El Mar Drive and Palm Avenue). You may also pay with cash or credit card at pay stations or coins at parking meters.
