Debbie Hime is the Town's Special Projects Coordinator. She started working for the Town in 2016 and has extensive experience in tourism and destination marketing, hospitality and live event management. Debbie has worked with such nationally recognized companies such as PACE Entertainment (now Live Nation), Broadway Across America, Orange County Performing Arts Center and Skin Diver Magazine, where she collaborated on national promotions with Coca-Cola, American Express, Wrangler Jeans, Miller Brewing Co., Anheuser- Busch and Ticketmaster.
Previous to working for Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Debbie lived on St John, Virgin Islands, where she gained first-hand experience in hotel management and real estate administration. As search engine marketing was becoming more prevalent, she augmented her previous marketing experience into years of online destination marketing, launching businesses onto the World Wide Web with website and search engine marketing, website creative and other online marketing initiatives.
An avid volunteer, Debbie is a member of the Fort Lauderdale Volunteer Leadership Council and Fort Lauderdale Downtown Rotary Volunteer Auxiliary. She also belongs to the Florida League of Cities’ Florida Municipal Communicators Association (FMCA).
