Town Manager Connie Hoffmann is the Town’s chief executive officer. The
manager provides the Town Commission with the
professional leadership and advice needed to operate the
Town and carry out Commission policies. The manager is
responsible for executing the administrative duties and
tasks assigned by the Commission, including implementing
the Town's annual budget.
Hoffmann appoints and manages a staff of employees
responsible for Lauderdale-By-The-Sea's day-to-day
operations. She also supervises all Town
departments and programs to ensure projects and plans
are carried out in a professional and timely manner.
This includes long-range planning, effective corporate
strategies, management effectiveness and key capital
improvement projects necessary for the Town’s continued
success, development and growth.
Hoffmann became Town Manager in April 2010. She earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Florida Atlantic University in political science. Hoffmann has more than 20 years of municipal management experience, worked in the private sector for a major corporation and owned two businesses.

TOWN MANAGER
Assistant Town Manager Bud Bentley began working for the Town in April 2010. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Public Administration from the University of Oregon and the University of Arizona. Bentley has extensive local government experience working in several south Florida communities, Oregon and New Mexico.
