The
Town’s Development Services Department is responsible
for ensuring the orderly growth of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea
through the review of development-related projects,
Code Compliance,
Planning and Zoning
review and the enforcement of Town land use regulations. Code violations can also be reported online at our Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Citizens Access Portal.
The department also provides support to the
Planning & Zoning Board and Board of Adjustment.
The
Town contracts with C.A.P. Government Inc., a private firm, to provide
Building Department services to the Town. A CAP
employee processes building permit applications from
9 AM to 4:30 PM in the Development Services Department, which is in the building adjacent to Town Hall. Below are the building permit documents you may need:
- Change of Contractor
- Inspection Request
- Notice of Commencement
- Owner/Builder Affidavit
- Permit Submittal Requirements
- Town Zoning Map
Development Services is also responsible for processing
Site Plan applications, Variance requests, Business Tax
Receipt applications (occupational
licenses), inspecting new businesses, processing
engineering right-of-way permits, lien searches and
flood zone map information.
