Mayor Roseann Minnet was born in Broward County and grew up in Plantation. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in December 1980 with a degree in accounting. She has lived at Royal Coast Condominium for 18 years. Roseann has one son, CJ, who is a mechanical engineer in Fort Lauderdale.
Mayor Minnet has served on the Town’s Charter Review Board, the Board of Adjustment and was most recently past Chairwoman of Planning & Zoning. She is a lifetime member of the Leadership Broward Foundation, past Corporate Partner Chair for the National Association of Women Business Owners, and is currently a director at Royal Coast Condominium, where she resides. She is active in various charities, including the J K Braid Leadership Foundation, Hospice and Poor Clares of Delray Beach.
Mayor Minnet owns a lighting design company, Lightseeker, Inc. She has been in the lightingdesign industry for more than 25 years.
She is active in the local community and has participated in many Town events, such as the annual Halloween Party, Fourth of July and Easter-By-The-Sea. Mayor Minnet enjoys spending time with family and friends in the Florida Keys, is an avid traveler, enjoys sports and is active in her church.
Mayor Minnet’s primary concern is to serve the people of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea and bring unity to our Town.
